About Us

Founded in Switzerland in 1874, Schindler Group is a leading global provider of lifts, escalators and moving walks and related product services. Our innovative and environmentally friendly access and transit management systems make an important contribution to mobility in urban societies.

In the UK, Schindler installs, repairs, maintains and services all types of lifts, escalators and moving walks from all types of manufacturer.

Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification

Our Integrated Management System (IMS) is independently certified by a UKAS accredited certification body to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015, BS EN ISO 14001:2015 and BS ISO 45001:2018; activities are performed in accordance with this documented information.

Additionally, independent certification of the quality assurance system has been awarded that confirms compliance to the requirements of:

  • the provisions of Schedule 18 of the Lift Regulations 2016 by an approved body
  • the European Lifts Directive (2014/33/EU), Annex XI, Full Quality Assurance plus Design Examination for Lifts (Module H1) by a European Notified Body.
