Ding, storage floor. Hey, is that a grand piano? Great, roll it right in, and let’s do some heavy lift-ing! You can always count on me, and I can always count on prompt maintenance – that's what it means to be the Unsung Hero among lifts.
Do you like opera? Or is ballet more your thing? I can’t say I’ve been to either. After all, someone has to stay here and make it all happen behind the scenes. That’s me – lifting musical instru-ments, stage sets, and much, much more, day in, day out.
It’s theatre, and we all have a role to play. Mine is to always be on time – no matter how heavy the load. And it does get heavy! But thanks to the constant equipment monitoring offered by Schindler, the stage manager doesn’t need to worry – my systems are always watched over.
I’m more brawn than brains, it’s true, but this connectivity thing is really smart. It analyses all my data in real time – how smooth my rides are, how quickly my doors open and close, and all that jazz. And if there’s even a tiny change – sometimes so tiny, in fact, no one would normally notice – automatic symptom reporting raises a red flag and notifies a service technician.
They come by and give my systems a pre-emptive tweak so that the problem doesn’t escalate, and I don’t break down right before a big premiere. Our conductor once dropped his favourite baton into my door closing mechanism without noticing – and they fished it out thanks to an alert like that. It could have done some damage if it had been left there – and of course the maestro was refusing to conduct without his precious baton.
So basically, Schindler gave me a fitness app that’s always connected to my personal trainer – what more could a heavy lifter like me dream of? Regular health checks are performed in the background and displayed on a convenient dashboard so that everybody important is in the know. So, there’s no drama from my side, just work, work, work, to make the magic happen. But I’m not complaining – someone has to do it, and that someone better be reliable, right?
